Camps and Excursions

Stage 5 Camp 72_1.JPG Camps and Excursions

Middle School students travel to venues off-campus for camps which are an important aspect of education.  Camps and excursions not only provide valuable opportunities to enrich a student's understanding of topics being studied, but also help to byuild a rapport with teachers which has enormous benefits back in the classroom.

There is no extra cost for camps or excursions as they are incorporated into the Tuition Fees.

Year 6 and 7 has a 2 night/3day camp (odd years) to Lake Tinaroo where students participate in abseiling, high ropes, raft building, fishing etc.

Year 8 and 9 has a 2 night/3day camp (even years) at Mt Carbine on a "Challenge Camp" where they participate in team building and outdoor education activities designed to develop their ability to effectively work as part of a team.

Excursions and Field trips are planned to enhance student learning by providing opporturities to visit sites related to subjects being studied.  Holloways Beach Environmental Centre and field trips to local waterways are examples of this.
