At Peace we recognise that each student has God-given talents and abilities, and that a successful education is not measured in grades alone, but in the realization of one's true potential.
We offer an outstanding program of academic, vocational, sporting, cultural and social experiences to our students as well as opportunities for spiritual growth. The learning programs offered are in line with the most modern educational thinking of the day.
Peace has a proven record of Academic Excellence. Our students are prepared for Tertiary Entrance and other study options that include TAFE and Workplace Traineeships.
All programs are overseen by highly skilled, dedicated and motivated teaching staff. The teaching staff are supplemented by a number of support and ancillary staff.
All students are encouraged to participate in the many and varied curricular and co-curricular activities.
Facilities at Peace include a fully air conditioned campus, 2 computer laboratories, computer equipped resource centre, science, art, drama and music departments, design and technology centre, home economics centre, multi-purpose hall, playing fields for AFL, athletics, cricket, tennis courts, basket ball courts and netball courts.
Peace believes education is central to the human condition. We believe the quality of being human resides in the capacity to reason, to have a significant capacity to choose a future, to understand and where possible, control our environment, to act and make judgements within the Christian framework and to see ourselves in the wider Australian and global context.
We believe these qualities can be fostered in the Senior School by a curriculum which has in broad terms the following purposes.
Preparation for personal growth: a sense of self-respect, self-discipline, accepting the legitimate rights of others, having knowledge of cultural traditions and a range of cultural interests, developing a consistent and acceptable moral code based on Christian values, critical thinking, communication and problem solving skills.
Preparation for citizenship in a democratic society: taking an interest in local, national and international political and social issues, voting intelligently, understanding and supporting the legal system, taking responsibilities within the community.
Preparation for vocations: development of appropriate skills and attitudes, making career and associated course path choices at appropriate times.
