Year 11 & 12 Subjects Offered

Manufacturing Students in Year 11 are offered a broad choice of subjects.  It is highly recommended that students choose six subjects, however in special circumstances five subjects will be sufficient.

English or English Communication and then any combination of Category A or Authority Registered to make up a total of six.

QSA “Category A” Subjects are those which follow a Queensland Studies Authority syllabus.  The School Work program for this type of subject has been accredited by the QSA.  QSA Subjects are required for a Tertiary entrance (OP) Score.

QSA “Authority Registered” Subjects have a Vocational Content.  They generally lead on to TAFE studies.  The School Work Program is accredited by the Queensland Studies Authority.  These subjects do not contribute towards an OP Score, but do appear on the QCE and the School Exit Certificate.
