Parents & Friends Committee

"Bringing parents, friends and teaching staff together to assist in the provision of resources and facilities for our College."

Mr Shanen Hansen, P&F President, heads the Committee of friendly parent volunteers who work together to administer the activities of the P&F and organise major fundraising events.

The Committee’s role

The Committee plays an important role in raising funds for specific projects – it has previously contributed to playground equipment and shade sails through community grants.

The Peace Centre is an example of the significant contribution the P&F makes to the College, with the Committee being responsible for partly-funding the construction of this building and later, adding further value through the supply of stage lighting and audio visual equipment.

Annual Spring Fair

The major fundraising event and highlight of the College Calendar. Traditionally held early in term 4, live entertainment; amusement rides; stalls; and fireworks turn the school grounds into a carnival for the day.

While the fundraising aspect of the Fair is important, the P&F Committee believes the Fair is a great "friend-raiser", and a wonderful opportunity for teachers, students, staff, parents, carers and grandparents to work together for the good of the school.

Meetings

P&F Committee meets once per month. These meetings are a great way for members of our College community to find out more about the school and the activities of the P&F, with the opportunity to ask questions and to hear first-hand from the Principal and other staff about issues and news affecting the school.
