About Peace

A Message from the Principal - Mrs Elisabeth Fenske

Peace Lutheran College is a quality Christian co-educational Prep-Year 12 school in Cairns. We offer a quality schooling experience where God's love for every person is evident and informs all that we do. We cater for a diverse range of students from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. Our boarding facilities allow us to serve students from a wide area of North Queensland, Torres Strait, South East Asia as well as families from further afield.

We are committed to encouraging wellbeing and the pursuit of success; academic or otherwise and to develop young men and women of character in a Christian community. Developing the whole person is at the heart of what we do at Peace Lutheran College, ensuring that Peace is a place where everyone feels valued; a place where everybody is somebody.

I encourage you to visit us in person to see for yourself who we are. I would enjoy the opportunity to meet with you.

Ordering Lunches

Menus will be made available to all parents at the beginning of each term, and these will be updated from time to time and sent home.

Due to room constraints the decision has been made to out source the Uniform Shop from the start of Term 4, 2014. From 7th October the Uniform Shop will no longer operate from our Campus. Instead Peace Lutheran College uniforms will be available from Uniform Link (see attached flyer).

Uniform Link is a locally owned and operated business and we are looking forward to working in partnership with them to provide quality uniforms for the students.

Students are transported to and from sporting fixtures and excursions on the five air-conditioned College buses. All of the buses are equipped with seat belts. Peace Lutheran College also provides a Student Transportation Service bringing students to and from school daily. Please contact our Bus Coordinator, Nick Hill-Murray for any further enquiries on 0407 579 909.

The Health Clinic is open every school day from 8.00 a.m. until 4.00 p.m. and is staffed by the School Nurse.

Accident/Illness Procedure

If a student is unwell or injured they will be referred or escorted to the Health Clinic.

Students leaving class to go to the Health Clinic must have a note/or message in their diaries.  If students have a fever or obvious illness/injury requiring medical assistance, parents will be contacted by phone.
